Hakea laurina (Pin-Cushion Hakea)
This needlebush is Western Australian. The flowers are ball like and range in delicate white through to yellow and red. It can be found if you park at the beginning of the Wattle and Hakea Walks then walk down the “no Entry” road coming back from Fern Gully for about 100 metres and it is on your left. It is also to be found on the very low section of the Hakea Walk. Hakea pycnoneura is very similar at first glance and it is just below the bird bath.
